This chain dirven mode usually found on heavy-duty and more expensive tillers, the durable slip-clutch driveline and six tines (or four) per flange, with a forward-rotation rotor that provides maximum mulching.

6 blades per flange (C-shaped or L-shaped), automatic linkages and adjustable working height through skids or through a wide range of rear rollers (spike, cage, packer) is the difference that makes the GDE standing out the most against the competition.

Single speed gearbox (GDE) or four speed gearbox (GDEC) are both available.
